Make a well-defined equipment choice

UHT vs HTST: Selecting a Laboratory Thermal Configuration

Choose a laboratory UHT or HTST configuration by research objective, product conditions, holding arrangement and the required collection boundary.

01 / SELECTION NOTE

Choose the research question first

The documented thermal equipment family supports UHT and HTST research through the selected configuration and operating method. Start with the product and the comparison you need: thermal effects, formulation behaviour, transfer conditions or a defined treatment study.

02 / SELECTION NOTE

Select the exchanger and holding route

Plate and tubular arrangements are documented alternatives. Flow, the installed holding assembly and measured temperature history work together. The published equipment upper temperature is a capability limit; a product-specific treatment schedule comes from the study method.

03 / SELECTION NOTE

Keep collection separate from thermal capability

Open research samples and controlled filling involve different boundaries. If the work needs a filling cabinet, specify it as a separate connected option with the product-transfer and container-preparation requirements.

04 / SELECTION NOTE

What to include in the enquiry

Provide the product family, feed characteristics, target conditions if defined, useful output and available sample. A short initial request can establish the right configuration questions before a full specification is ready.
