Laboratory Homogenization for Liquid Food Emulsions

Compare pressure-treatment conditions for suitable liquid food emulsions and dispersions using a two-stage laboratory homogenizer and thermal route.

01 / SELECTION NOTE

A separate pressure-processing unit

The documented laboratory homogenizer forces the product through a homogenizing valve under pressure. Its two-stage arrangement can be discussed against the prepared liquid and research method. It remains a separate module from the thermal unit.

02 / SELECTION NOTE

Specify the feed and trial settings

The published configuration lists an adjustable 0–600 bar range and a 500 µm feed particle limit. These are catalogue equipment specifications, with suitability dependent on the selected assembly and physical product properties. Request confirmation for the actual feed before specifying the trial conditions.

03 / SELECTION NOTE

Coordinate thermal interfaces

Product temperature, inlet and outlet pressures and the position in the route need to fit the selected thermal arrangement. Discuss whether pressure treatment comes before or after the chosen thermal step, and define the downstream hygiene boundary.

04 / SELECTION NOTE

Measure results against the study objective

Record pressure, stage distribution, flow and product conditions alongside the sample preparation and collection method. Particle size and emulsion stability are measured outcomes of the trial rather than guaranteed consequences of a pressure setting.
