Plate and Tubular Paths for Lab Heat Treatment

Compare laboratory heat-transfer geometries through product passage, inspection, sample inventory and cleaning questions.

Compare passage and product behaviour

A plate path and a tubular path present different channels, surfaces and flow arrangements. Describe the actual formulation, particle or fibre characteristics, viscosity with its measurement temperature, fouling tendency and sensitivity to shear. A geometry name alone does not establish suitability or a permissible particle size.

Compare the installed circuit

Request drawings that identify the selected product passage, connections, active volume, holding assembly and sensor locations. Small components can still create material inventory and changeover losses. The relevant sample requirement belongs to the complete selected circuit, not just to the exchanger body.

Compare access and proof

Ask how the product path is inspected, cleaned and reassembled, and how the configuration is identified in the run record. Use product trials and the offered documentation to confirm operating conditions. The technical comparison does not mean both forms are part of every unit or available from every supplier.
