Cleaning, Aseptic Preparation and Trial Records

Keep cleaning evidence, requested sterile boundaries and recorded processing data distinct in a laboratory equipment specification.

Three records answer different questions

A cleaning record describes the circuit, sequence and evidence used to assess residue removal. Preparation of a requested aseptic boundary addresses a different system state. A process record describes what happened to the formulation during the experimental run. One screen status cannot stand in for all three.

Identify the actual covered path

Show which vessels, pumps, exchangers, holding parts, bypasses, valves and collection connections are included. An excluded branch or separately handled container may change the boundary of a claim. Confirm the proposed configuration and method rather than assuming that the letters CIP or SIP describe a complete capability.

Link the states to the sample

The run packet should connect the configuration and preparation state to the measured collection interval and any deviation. Keep data export, instrument calibration references and operator observations available for review. The site does not prescribe a universal cleaning or sterilization cycle for unspecified equipment and formulations.
