Data Records for Repeatable Laboratory Thermal Trials

Specify measured channels, timestamps, configuration and sample links before accepting a laboratory equipment data system.

Ask to see a real export

Request a representative file from the proposed control system, with its field definitions. Distinguish measured values from setpoints and derived values. Check channel names, units, recording interval, timestamp handling and how missing data or interruptions appear. A screenshot of a smooth trend does not answer those questions.

Build a small run record

At minimum, identify the formulation revision, installed product path, holding assembly, sensors and calibration references, intended conditions, actual measured interval and deviations. Add sample IDs and collection times. A recording interval must be selected to resolve the events that matter to the trial, rather than chosen solely to reduce file size.

Keep revisions and access clear

Record who changed a recipe or configuration, when the change applied and which samples it affected. Agree data export, ownership, storage and backup with the supplier and laboratory team. Do not infer a particular file format, audit trail or remote-access feature until it is demonstrated in the proposed configuration.
