Recipe Changes, Transition Material and Trial Traceability

Plan laboratory formulation and condition changes with explicit transition losses, configuration revisions and sample identities.

Define what is changing

A new formulation, a new thermal condition and a new physical flow path are different changes. Name the affected components, preparation requirements and records. Do not carry a prior acceptance window forward merely because the operator selected the next recipe on the same screen.

Allocate transition material

State the criterion for the new collection window and account for material used before reaching it. The planner takes a total transition-discard quantity across the defined run; it is not an inferred percentage or a fixed volume per recipe. If the amount is unknown, measure or agree it before preparing a scarce formulation.

Retire the old record explicitly

Link each sample to the recipe and configuration revision that actually applied. Record cleaning or segregation requirements between formulations and how residual product is handled. A saved planning brief should be revised when the material or module assumptions change; it is not a permanent instruction for later runs.
